  1. Maple Sugar Madness
    1:00 - 4:00 pm
    Visit our 1755 River Mansion and watch as we tap the maple trees on the property and demonstrate syrup making in the outdoor fire pit. Tour the house and barns. Sample pancakes made on the colonial hearth and smother them with syrup made from our trees. Admission: $5 Snow date 3/22.
  2. Dinner at Welles Tavern
    6:00 - 8:00pm
    'Tis the year 1796. Step into Joseph Welles' taproom for an authentic 18th century tavern dinner. Visitors will be welcomed by Joseph and Susannah Welles and will enjoy the tales and news of the day from visitors who enter the tavern. Seating is limited. Reservations Required: $45
  3. Colonial Cooking and Playtime for Children
    10:00 - 3:00
    Children aged 8-14 are welcome to join us for an exciting day of hearth cooking, preparing and enjoying a simple meal together on our authentic, original 1755 hearth. . Later, students will play colonial games and play with a variety of colonial toys. Reservations required. Seating is limited $25
  4. A Step Back in Time: Journey to a Day of Colonial Living

    View the springtime activities and chores that consumed our colonial ancestors’ days. See colonial tools and try your hand at rope making. Native American technology will also be demonstrated. Glastonbury Partners in Planting will prepare the kitchen garden and visitors of all ages are encouraged to join in. Visit the colonial herb garden filled with herbs that will season the food and provide medicine for the family. . Admission: $5.
  5. Dinner Lecture at the Museum on the Green
    Local Glastonbury celebrities Julia and Abby Smith will attend this dinner to explain, educate and entertain guests with a live recreation of their fight for women's suffrage. Enjoy a delicious catered meal under the tent in front of the museum and watch Abby Smith’s speech from a wagon outside Town Hall with her appeal for woman’s rights. Reservations required.   6. Militia Day
    1:00- 4:00
    All men between the ages of 16 and 60 are summoned to drill in preparation for attack! Witness the militia prepare and fire their arms and cannon. Learn from the Doctor about battlefield medicine. House and barn tours, cooking demonstration. Admission: $5.
