House & Garden & Farm Tour

“Out the Backdoor”

 

The Society is co-sponsoring along with Glastonbury Partners in Planting a House, Garden and Farm Tour, June 24, 2007 in South Glastonbury. The Tour’s theme will be “Out the Backdoor” which will include homes, kitchens, gardens, farms, outbuildings and an archeological site. Tickets are $25 in advance and can be bought at the Museum on the Green (1944 Main Street, at the corner of Main & Hubbard Streets). For information call(860-633-6890). Tickets the day of the event will be $30 bought at the Welles Shipman Ward House (972 Main Street, S. Glastonbury).  

 

Travel beside the Connecticut River, exploring South Glastonbury’s gardens, the largest organic farm in Connecticut, tobacco farm and many of South Glastonbury’s historic homes, barns and outbuildings. Do to a lack of parking busses will be used to take you to each venue. You can get off at any stop when you like. Buses will be leaving from St. Augustine Church on Hopewell Street and High Street School.
