To benefit the Education &
Preservation Programs of the
Society
This walkable tour explores the evolving history of the Village of
South Glastonbury, featuring
13 sites whose uses have
changed over the centuries.
Visit the oldest church
structure in town which is
now a community library.
Tour the
Hollister Bake House,
now a residence. Check out
Dave’s barn -- now his art
studio. A former school
became a residence and is
now an office building.
Cotton Hollow, which was a
self-sustaining village unto
itself during its industrial
years of water power, will
feature current homes and an
interpreter at the old
Cotton Mill ruins. The
circuit is 2.3 miles of
enjoyable historic and
scenic roads.
