The Historical Society of Glastonbury is a 501(c) (3) non-profit that relies upon its members and the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations to provide the financial support needed for its programs and operations. Please join us in preserving and sharing Glastonbury’s rich past by making a contribution.
How to Give
The Historical Society of Glastonbury accepts gifts by check or credit card through PayPal. It also welcomes gifts in the form of securities, life insurance, real estate, bequests, and from qualified retirement plans. Donors may also make a tribute or memorial gift to honor a special person or event. Please note that many companies match charitable gifts made by current employees and retirees. Please check if yours does and include an appropriate form from the employer.
Please also note that some methods of giving may have significant tax and estate planning benefits. A HSG representative, working in conjunction with your financial and legal adviser, can help to structure a gift in the manner most advantages to your individual or family circumstances. The Annual Fund is the repository for dues, gifts, annual appeal donations, admissions, grants, and other income for the Society. It provides approximately 90% of the Society’s annual operating budget including staff salaries, insurance, utilities, heating fuel, maintenance, and programming.
All unrestricted gifts are credited to the Annual Fund.
